These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Compass International Academy website, application portal, and related services (collectively, “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
About Compass International Academy. Compass International Academy (operated by Compass Education Ltd.) is a trusted provider of international higher-education pathways in Bangladesh. As an accredited centre of NCC Education, we deliver British qualifications regulated by Ofqual (the UK government’s regulator for qualifications), alongside institutions such as Cambridge and Edexcel. Compass is also an official IDP IELTS Test Centre and an authorized ETS Test Centre for TOEFL and GRE examinations, offering convenient, on-campus access to globally recognized tests.
Acceptance of Terms
By using the Compass International Academy website or any Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions and any additional guidelines or policies applicable to specific Services (including NCC Education, IDP, and ETS policies for accredited programmes and examinations).
Intellectual Property
All content on the Compass International Academy website—including text, graphics, logos, images, audio/video, software, and their compilation—is the property of Compass Education Ltd., our licensors, or partner awarding bodies, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or exploit any content without prior written permission from Compass Education Ltd. or the relevant rights holder.
Use of Services
- Compass provides higher-education pathway programmes, admissions support, counseling, and on-campus testing (IELTS/TOEFL/GRE) through its website and portals. Programme details, entry criteria, syllabi, schedules, fees, and test availability are subject to change and may be updated without prior notice.
- You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations of Bangladesh and relevant foreign jurisdictions (where applicable). You must not engage in activity that disrupts, damages, or interferes with the proper functioning or security of the Services.
- Information provided on the website is for general guidance. While we aim for accuracy, Compass does not warrant that content is complete, current, or error-free. Official programme rules are set by NCC Education/Ofqual; official testing rules are set by IDP (IELTS) and ETS (TOEFL/GRE). Where there is a conflict, the awarding/testing body’s rules prevail.
User Accounts
- Certain features (e.g., applications, payments, bookings) may require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity under your account. Notify Compass promptly of any unauthorized use or security breach.
- Compass may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion for breach of these Terms, fraud, misuse, or unlawful activity, without prejudice to any other rights or remedies.
Admissions, Fees and Refunds
- Admission decisions are made in line with NCC Education and Compass policies and may require verified documentation. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission or progression.
- All fees (tuition, registration, exam, administrative) must be paid by stated deadlines. Late or incomplete payment may result in penalties, service restrictions, or withdrawal from modules/exams.
- Refunds, deferrals, and cancellations (including for tests) are governed by Compass policies and, where applicable, NCC Education, IDP, and ETS policies. Certain fees may be non-refundable. Please review the relevant policy before payment/booking.
Third-Party Policies (NCC, IDP, ETS)
Participation in NCC Education programmes and examinations, and bookings for IELTS/TOEFL/GRE, are additionally governed by the respective awarding/testing bodies’ terms, candidate handbooks, identification requirements, test-day rules, and misconduct policies. By enrolling or booking, you agree to comply with those third-party terms.
Privacy Policy
Compass is committed to protecting your privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal data, including data processed on behalf of NCC Education, IDP, and ETS for enrolment and test administration. By using our Services, you consent to processing in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Compass Education Ltd., its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers, or licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including lost profits, data, or goodwill) arising from or related to your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Accuracy, Availability and Changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services (including programme offerings, schedules, and fees) at any time. While we strive for uptime and accuracy, availability is not guaranteed and maintenance or third-party outages may occur.
Modifications to Terms and Conditions
Compass may revise these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting on the website. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh for disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Services.
